William Miles Austin

RMCM(SS) Orlando FL: William Miles Austin RMCM(SS), USN, RETIRED, 67. Born July 11, 1939, in Poplar Creek, MS to Woodrow and (the late) Frances Austin. He went to be with his Eternal Father, May 30, 2007.

William retired, after serving 32 years in the U.S. Navy. He qualified in USS Pickerel SS 524 in 1961

He retired from the Department of Veteran Affairs, Orlando VA Healthcare Center, after 15 years of service. William was a Christian and an active member of Center Pointe Community Church of The Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Austin, Orlandofather, Woodrow Austin of Kilmichael, MSsisters, Paula Clark, Atlanta, GA, Glynda Austin, Madison, MS, Melba Darton, Travelers Rest, SC, Janet Bryant, Starkville, MS, Judith Spurgeon, Greenwood, MS, Deborah Balle, Kilmichael, Wanda Kay Henley, Kilmichael; brother, Andy Austin, Kilmichael, MS; stepchildren, Eric (Tamara) Rice, Tampa, FL, Kathleen (Demetrios) Kotsogiannis, Morrisonville, NY; grandchildren, Emily Wells, Elijah & Kathleen Rice, Phoebe and Lilah Kotsogiannis, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Burial at Bethel Cemetery, Montgomery County, Kilmichael, MS.
