Mark Douglas Greene, ETCM (SS)

Mark Douglas Greene, ETCM (SS), retired, 53, of Bowling Green, died Feb. 24, 2010, at the lake in Benton. The Orlando, Fla., native was the son of the late Joseph Greene and Theresa Donley Greene. He was a Navy veteran, an employee of the U.S. Postal Service and a member of the Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Stanley

Funeral is at 3 p.m. Saturday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

Survivors include his wife, Deirdre Mairi Greene; three children, Nathanael Greene, of Orlando, Jennifer Edwards and her husband, Matthew, of Bowling Green, and Christopher Whitehurst, of Bowling Green; and a brother, Stephen Greene and his wife, Jessie, of Orlando.
